PRINCIPAL
Edna Dimataga-Fernandez, is a business consultant with over 20 years of business and consulting experience. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed significant success in the areas of strategic planning, project management, business development, and operational improvement.  She has helped clients in the following industries: insurance, financial services, healthcare, and behavioral health. She also helps companies in various growth stages including non-profit organizations and start-up companies.  Her leadership experience includes developing and managing high-performance teams.

She holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.

She is a Past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Under her leadership, NAIFA Los Angeles received the Gold Association Achievement Award from NAIFA California (2010-2011) for excelling in membership, advocacy, governance and programs. In 2014, she served as the Founding President of the Los Angeles Chapter of Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS). During her Presidency, the chapter received the Top Award from WIFS National for recruiting the highest percentage of new members (out of 19 chapters nationwide).

She is the Founder & CEO of The Wellness Institute, a company that offers wellness education focused on holistic health: physical, mental, spiritual and financial health. The company provides holistic health workshops and seminars to businesses and organizations.  The company’s wellness store, Wellness-Spring, sells organic, natural, and paraben-free products. A portion of the proceeds is donated to social causes that support women, children, health, wellness and education.

Edna is also an approved Continuing Education Provider for the California Department of Insurance.

She is married to Phil Fernandez, a Los Angeles-based portrait and fashion photographer. They live in Valencia, California with their 2 children, Dominic and Ella.
